A heavy heart, as my daughter departs for college, her new journey starts and I can’t help but feel torn apart.

I know I’ve made mistakes in the past and for those, I am truly sorry.

I may not have always been there for every milestone and every fall, but know that I’ve always cared and your happiness is my all.

As you run into the unknown bright and new, remember, I’ll be watching over. Through every exam, every test, heartbreak, and success my love and support will always be there you.

You’ll meet new friends and create memories. So spread your wings, my little Hummingbird. Embrace the world with open arms! For know that no matter what occurs, your father’s love will never fade.
